I hope this web site helps you understand a little bit about who we are and what we are trying to accomplish as a congregation.

The last couple of years have been filled with lots of changes.  After many years of discussion, Christ, Delaware Avenue and Emmanuel United Methodist Churches merged in 2008 so that they would be stronger financially and more able to provide programs and activities for both the congregation and community.

The results have been exciting! Not only have we built a new Family Life Center and are starting construction on a new Sanctuary in April 2011.  We have also added new staff!  We have new people coming to worship and we have lots of new ideas and ways of doing things! In fact, there are so many new things happening that it’s impossible to list them all on this site.

However, the  best news is that there is a new spirit of excitement, hope and joy in the congregation.  As we see and understand what God is doing in our midst, our faith and our commitment to serving God and helping others is growing.  We are determined to be the church that God wants us to be.  We aren’t there yet, but we are striving to be a Christ-centered church where everyone is welcome, encouraged and equipped to become a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
